I was commissioned to create a logo for a credit card vendor out of Kansas City. They needed to create a brand that captured the essence of the area. So I drew inspiration from the infamous Kansas City Power & Light District. I wanted to do something that went fit the feel of the old and new, since the area was going through an big transition, and revitalized. It’s a historic area where really old buildings we renovated and modernized. I think the logo encapsulated everything that both the business and area represent. I even convinced the client to print business cards on a really heavy vinyl, giving it a credit card look and feel.
